How to play a hand in Omaha
- In Omaha the players takes turn being the dealer. This position is called the "button" and moves clockwise around the table after each hand.
- Instead of antes the two players to the left of the dealer are forced to make opening bets, called blinds. The player next to the dealer is the small blind and the person next to him is the big blind. The big blind is normally twice the size of the small blind.
- Every player is dealt four personal cards (hole cards), all face-down. Then the first betting round begins. The player to the left of the big blind acts first, then the betting goes on clockwise around the table.
- Three face-up community cards, called the flop, are placed on the table. Then the second betting round begins. The small blind, or the first player to the left of him still in the hand, acts first. Then the betting goes on clockwise around the table.
- Another face-up community card, called the turn, is placed on the table. Then the third betting round begins. The small blind, or the first player to the left of him still in the hand, acts first. Then the betting goes on clockwise around the table.

- The player that can put together the best poker combination using two of his hole cards and three of the community cards wins the hand.
